		<description>Thank you for a most informative blog on teaching.  Where I was most startled was when you said &quot;I believe teaching is an art form, a sculpting technique&quot;.  Now as both a professional sculptor and an online educator I couldn&#039;t agree more.

People say with kids - you have a blank canvas.  Now that so isn&#039;t the right metaphor.  It is too one dimensional.  They are little bags of clay - make of them what you will.  Be sure to learn the rules of good &#039;sculpting&#039; though, because without it, you create big horrors.
